I am absolutely addicted to Pinterest and find myself perusing the site daily. It’s such a great way of book marking ideas for the future, exploring your reaction to form and tone and thinking about how you may take inspiration from a plethora of image ideas for use in your own spaces. I have pinned thousands of images and ideas over the last year. These are my very favourite pinspirations, they are the ones I am drawn to again and gain.
These are my four very favourite pins of the year, they are all fairly simple, with touches of industrial or modernism, I have such house envy for all of these fabulous spaces.
Having always considered myself a silver kind of girl, I have been really captivated by both crafts and home design that involves warm gold this year. I love the inventiveness of this starburst door detail and would simply die for either of these light pendants.
The use of colour in these interior and exterior spaces is exemplary. I am so drawn to these kaleidoscopic tolix chairs and this fabulous cafe in Hotel Daniel, Vienna is simply calling me to visit!
Who doesn't feel instantly happy when looking at these wonderful examples of Art Nouveau doors? Sigh, I would love to live in a grand old apartment in one of these exceptional buildings
I am really drawn to spaces that use yellow to accent a room and this Victorian arcade in its decaying form is just beautiful.
This kitchen, taken from the Farrow & Ball use of colour book, was the starting point of inspiration for our kitchen make over. The use of industrial factory task lighting in this architects workplace is the last word in style. And I love this period living room with a nod to the Victorian grand tours and adventure of the bazaars.
This mid-century modern interior is my newest lust as I only pinned it this morning! I love all the architecture I come across on Pinterest and in particular all of SFbybaygirl's snaps of her hometown in San Francisco, like this last one (above right) which is just dreamy.
This child's bedroom is so simple and yet so charming. Again I am drawn to the use of yellow as a colour accent in this vintage monochrome French kitchen. I would really like to have a collection of coral and sea life in my bedroom re-design, natures shapes in water are so unusual and enticing. The final pic is one of Elle Decor's most popular interiors of the year and I just love the composition of the shot, hats off to the stylist.
