It’s been a short working week thanks to the last bank holiday of the summer in the U.K. So I’m just dropping in with a short post today on something visually inspiring we saw over the weekend. I’d been intending to go to the Camille Walala exhibition at Now Gallery for a while since I saw it on Emma Jane Palin’s fabulously colourful Instagram feed. And since I’m going to be using mark making and colour exploration in my hallway makeover for Revamp, Restyle, Reveal next month I thought this would be the perfect chance to do a bit of homework whilst also enjoying a family day out in Greenwich. My toddler may have managed to get lost in the maze of mirrors and unattached from his parent (not my fail this time since I was only babysitting a camera) and he may have subsequently managed to soak his entire outfit running through the fountains outside (definitely my fail for not having a spare set of shorts in his bag) but we all had a wonderful day out. And as I found the exhibition so visually inspiring I thought I would share some of the bold patterns and colours in the installation with you. If you know Camille’s bright and vibrant work, which has been showcased at The London Design Festival a few times and upon London buildings, then you know what to expect and you wont be disappointed by this fabulous latest installation. If you live in London this is a real must-see, it’s free and it runs until 24th September at Now Gallery, Greenwich.
