A few weeks ago I was asked, by fabulous online retailer, Amara, to shoot some images in my home using my favourite items from their site for their home inspiration page. Amara, who sell a plethora of designer homewares from over 300 brands, launched this section of their website last year to illustrate how their collections can be styled in a diverse range of blogger, designer and stylist homes. I was honoured to take part, and truly loved many of the pieces so much that I wasn’t sure I could stop myself from rugby tackling the courier who came to collect them – luckily for us both when I opened the door and saw he was one of the regular delivery guys my sense of civility overrode my quite massive desire to keep every single item that had come through the door!
Amara asked me to choose items that had an autumnal feel with a nod to upcoming festivals like Halloween and bonfire night. As I have a fairly eclectic taste I have chosen pieces that range from Scandi simplicity to kitsch, surreal and craft luxe.
I’ve been a big fan of Amara as a go-to space for homewares for years, so I knew which brands were top of my wish list. I personally use Amara quite regularly for picking up Scandi accessories so you will find those in abundance in my shots below, alongside some new discoveries – the Urban Apothecary Green Lavender Candle was an item I loved so much I couldn’t let it go!
So, below you will find my home tour images, if you hop over to the inspiration page you will find the full set alongside some amazing styling in other creatives homes. It’s interesting to see how differently these items can look singing within different settings.
